For organizations either planning on requesting an Adobe donations, or those that have already received a donation:
TechSoup Fulfillment of Adobe Donations
Adobe donations are made available as boxed physical product (suite products only) or through Internet download, referred to as electronic software delivery (ESD) by TechSoup. Be sure to note the type of Adobe product you are requesting. For example, donations provided by electronic delivery will contain the suffix “ESD,” indicating the delivery method of that title (for example, "Acrobat Pro 9.0 Mac ESD").
For ESD products and for boxed suite products, the serial numbers will be emailed to your TechSoup registered email address with the following format (you will receive separate emails for each product requested):
Sender and email address: Fulfillment at TechSoup [fulfillment@techsoup.org]
Subject: Your Adobe Request #xxxxxx
Each email for ESD products will contain detailed downloading instructions, in addition to the serial number for your requested product. You will need this email in order to complete installation of your product.
For boxed suite products, you will need the serial number contained in the fulfillment email to complete the installation of your boxed product.
Downloading Adobe Products
Most Adobe install files are quite large and users may experience delays or timeouts while downloading. To ensure a successful download, Adobe recommends using the optional Download Manager. Here is a screenshot of what the Adobe downloads site looks like, including the links to the Download Manager for selected products.
Should there be an interruption during your download, the Download Manager option will allow you to resume the download from any interrupted point. You may also download the files to a computer other than the one on which it will be installed. For example, you may download the install files onto a portable drive while using a computer with a faster Internet connection and transfer those files to the computer onto which you will complete the actual installation. You would only register and activate the product at its final destination.
Installing Adobe Products
(Note: It is advised that you remove/delete older versions, or trial versions, of the software before you install a new version)
After downloading your product, you will have the option to install the product as either a trial or full version. Select "full version" and enter your serial key for your product. If prompted with an invalid serial key message, please try cutting and pasting your serial key directly from TechSoup’s fulfillment email.
The following is an example from Adobe CS5 Production Premium:
Some products have multiple keys for multiple products within a suite. For example, Adobe CS5 Design Premium Suite includes separate keys for Design Premium and Acrobat Pro. Be sure to follow the detailed instructions included in your fulfillment email to apply the appropriate key for your product.
